ABOUT

Founded in 1933, the Foodservice Packaging Institute (FPI) is the trade association for the foodservice packaging industry in North America. FPI promotes the value and benefits of foodservice packaging and serves as the industry’s leading authority to educate and influence stakeholders. Members include raw material and machinery suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and purchasers of foodservice packaging.

PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS

Community Partnership Program: Chattanooga, TN

The goal of FPI’s Community Partnership program is to add a suite of foodservice packaging to curbside recycling and/or composting programs in vetted communities. As part of the program, FPI will conduct outreach to stakeholders, collect data, and develop a strong communications component. Selected partner communities are also eligible for grant funding to assist with educating residents on the additions to the program. Learn more about how Chattanooga, TN utilized the FPI Community Partnership Program to see a 46% increase in requests for carts/bins, a decrease in residue from 14% to 8%, and an increase in the proportion of fiber collection from 62% to 73%.
